What SeedFlip Is

SeedFlip is a design system tool that provides curated design seeds (fonts, colors, spacing, shadows) for developers and designers. The product includes a web application at seedflip.co, an MCP server distributed via npm, and a Claude Code plugin.

The MCP Server and Claude Code Plugin

The SeedFlip MCP server (seedflip-mcp) runs entirely on your local machine. It does not make network requests, does not phone home, and does not collect or transmit any data. The seed catalog is bundled in the package. The Claude Code plugin connects to this local MCP server. No data leaves your machine when using either of these tools.

What We Collect on seedflip.co

When you sign in to seedflip.co via Google or magic link, we collect your email address. This is used for authentication, to determine your account tier (free, pro, or lifetime), and to send transactional emails related to your account. We do not sell your email or share it with third parties for marketing purposes.

Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not store your credit card information. Stripe handles all payment data under their own privacy policy. We receive your email and transaction status from Stripe to activate your account tier.

Email

We use Resend to send transactional emails (login links, purchase confirmations). Your email is stored in our Resend audience for this purpose. You can unsubscribe from non-essential emails at any time.

Analytics

We use PostHog for product analytics on seedflip.co to understand how people use the tool (which seeds are popular, which exports are used). This data is aggregated and not tied to your identity.

Cookies

We use a single session cookie (sf_session) to keep you logged in. It is HTTP-only and expires after 30 days. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Data Storage

Account data is stored in our application infrastructure. We do not store your designs, code, or project files. The design seeds you export are generated on the fly and not logged.
